Decodability Criteria:
• one letter = one sound

• the long ‘e’on the end of a word is often written with a y
Decoding Strategy: The focus of this book is to discover that the letter y on the end of many two syllable words sounds like a long ‘e’. Decodable words in this book also provide the opportunity to revise previous decoding strategies.
