Gold & Pounamu

These two titles are social studies texts which explore two of New Zealand’s most evocative natural resources, gold and pounamu (greenstone). Aimed at a reading age of 9 to 11 years the books have application in both primary and high schools, from year 6 to 9. They are also an ideal library purchase.

The A4 format allows for larger illustrations and a more open page design with manageable text blocs, making the eliciting of information less daunting for the less adept reader.
