New Zealanders

Famous New Zealanders is an on-going series celebrating Kiwis who have made a
contribution on the world stage. Ranging from inventors to film-makers, military heroes to
adventurers, each of the New Zealanders profiled can serve as positive role models to today’s
school pupils.

Aimed at a reading age of 9 to 11 years the series has application from year 6 to year
9 in both primary and high schools. These titles have proved popular in literacy, social
studies, science and technology curriculum areas. They are also held in many school and public
libraries.

There are six titles currently available:
